The Christian Art Gifts family was blessed with a special night at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, IL to celebrate Christmas as a company by enjoying an evening together.
The Christian Art Gifts family was blessed with a special evening on Wednesday, December 13, 2017. Employees, along with their family members and special friends, gathered in the Gingko Room at the
Morton Arboretum in Lisle, IL. The purpose of the evening was to celebrate Christmas as a company by enjoying an evening together.
Upon entering the charming dining room, guests were greeted by the harmonic sounds of a harpist playing in the background. Warming up guests from the cold winter weather was a hot chocolate and hot cider beverage bar, complete with whipped cream, peppermint, cinnamon sticks, and chocolate shavings. A row of beautiful blue-lit Christmas trees set the backdrop for a photo opportunity with coworkers and family members. Guests gathered around decorated tables that were adorned with poinsettia centerpieces. The wall-to-wall panoramic window of the dining room allowed guests to view dazzling Christmas light displays in the distance.
The evening officially began with a welcome message from CAG’s owner and President, Heinrich Johnsen. Aaron Bauer followed with a brief Christmas devotion and prayer. The Christmas message reminded everyone that Jesus was born as a baby, so he could die for the sins of his people. By repenting of sins and placing their trust in Christ alone, one can be saved from their sin and have eternal life.
After these opening words, a splendid meal was served. It featured Filet Mignon and Herb Roasted Chicken Breast on a bed of buttery mashed potatoes, as well as awesome Chicken Tenders and Mac and Cheese for the kids. As the meal ended, department managers were given the opportunity to introduce the people that wonderfully worked with them throughout the year. Sales Representatives from around the country were also introduced. They graciously flew in to celebrate Christmas under one roof together.
One highlight of the evening came when Smart Phones were brought out to play a rousing game of “Kahoot”, an internet-based multiple-choice question and answer game. Employees were challenged with custom questions on knowledge of their fellow workers. Competitive natures flared and all had laughs, but Team “Illumination” claimed victory at the end!
The night concluded with dessert, coffee, and a chance to get outside to see the amazing Illumination light show produced by the Morton Arboretum.
Illumination is an award-winning, one-mile outdoor walking tour on a paved path winding through The Morton Arboretum’s celebrated tree collections. Seating, warming concession tents, and fire pits were available along the route. Participants were able to walk a path that brought them to a variety of innovative lights, projections, and music including huggable trees, a chandelier forest, a hill covered in glowing spheres and interactive displays.
The evening was a joyful opportunity to celebrate Christmas with coworkers, family, and friends. What a wonderful way to relish the Christmas season together! We at Christian Art Gifts pray that your Christmas celebrations are filled with joy and good cheer this season. May each gathering be a reminder of Jesus Christ, the best gift ever given!
