Richard Baxter (1615-1691) was an acclaimed English Puritan pastor, a man of genius, a brilliant leader, a man for all ministries who had a tremendous zeal to promote the truth of God. He was renowned for his insightful Christian teaching. In a stormy and divided age he advocated unity and comprehension, pointing the way to the Eternal.
Baxter was the author of a great many books - the most prolific writer of his time. His famous books "Christian Directory" and "Call to the Unconverted" had an important influence on thousands of believers - even on scholars such as Charles Spurgeon and Martin Lloyd-Jones.
